Pier Brackets
Pier bracket attachments are installed by qualified and trained helix steel pier dealers/installers as specified in the approved plans. For interior piering purposes, a portion of the foundation slab is removed and soil excavated to create “L” shaped cavities with nominal 30 Inches (762mm) per side square openings to a depth of at least 18 inches (457 tom) below the bottom surface of the foundation. For exterior piering purposes, the perimeter backfill soils are removed to the bottom of the foundation wall and the above referenced shaped cavities are formed. The exposed foundation unlaces are prepared and smoothly dressed to receive the pier attachment (“Lifting Bracket”) without obstruction on the healing or facing surfaces. The attachments are pinned firmly to the foundation by driven or threaded fasteners.
